Bridal Brunch

When I was just a wee freshman, I met this girl named Jessica Bassett. Well, let me tell you something... that's not going to be her name for much longer.

This is how the story goes...
We would both walk to the mailbox anxiously to see if we had received any missionary letters. No luck. Mine were just from friends back home, but hers were from her 'Best Friend' Tyson Bowden. She told me all about this Tyson kid, how they met when they were 15, how he was her first date at 16, and her first kiss later on. She told me about how her family left Sacramento for a mission in Mesa AZ. She told me that even though they had broken up,  they had stayed best friends. I bet you can guess the rest. They wrote and wrote and wrote, and I watched her face light up every time she got a letter from this Tyson kid.

I was skeptical. You see, I loved Jessica, and it was hard for me to comprehend that anyone in the world was good enough for her. But luckily, Tyson passed the test ;) He proved me wrong... and I wouldn't have parted with her for anyone less caring, loving, and adoring.

Now they are getting married for time and all eternity in the Sacramento California Temple. & I get to see her on the happiest day of her life. So in celebration, we had a close group of girls come over to our apartment for a little bridal brunch for Jess. It was fun just to have a little celebration for her happiness and take an opportunity to just be with each other amongst all the stresses of the end of the semester.

Our little kitchen all spruced up for the day.

Sad Ashley had to leave early for work, so this is as close as we could get for a roommate picture.
