My Best Friend's Wedding

Today my best friend gets married.

I am so excited for them and the love they have found together.

It's funny to grow up with someone,

talk about the lives that we will have,

and discover the life that we end up living...

a life that is often more perfect than the one we imagined for ourselves. 

I'm so glad that Farryn has found the most perfect man for her.

& I am so glad that they are sealing that love for an eternity.

Playing Ketchup - Bon Iver

Anyone who knows me, knows that I have the biggest music crush on Bon Iver.
He has been on the top of my "must see" list for a couple of years now.
& after seeing him play at the Red Butte Gardens in May, I can honestly tell you that it was the best show I've ever been to. Heavenly, entrancing, rapturous, divine, and beatific are the only words I could google search to describe what I mean. If you think I am exaggerating, I can promise you that I am not.
I kind of love him. 








It was my kind of a perfect night; building new friendships whilst listening to music on the grass. We left speechless.

Playing Ketchup

I've been having the most marvelous summer.

Probably my best one yet.

I've always laughed at those bloggers who say they never have time to blog anymore...

Until I became that blogger.

I have no excuses really.

So line upon line (or post upon post), I'm going to try to play some ketchup.

This summer I finally got my dream job as an EFY counselor. I never thought I could love it more than when I went as a participant... but I was dead wrong because being a counselor is even more fun. I've met some of the greatest people through this job. The youth that I've come to know and love have taught me so much more than I could hope to teach them. I've grown so much from their example and they have touched my life in countless ways. Plus, if you ever need an ego boost... this job is for you. Its the power of the polo I guess. 

Have I found love at EFY?
Fat chance.

Expect Miracles

What seemed like a harmless drive through Ojai one day turned to a series of adventures. We went exploring through a sweet pea farm, picked up a hitch hiker from Belgium (couldn't sneak a picture of that, darn it), crashed a local art show, and bought piles of books from Bart's book store... all of which could have been an adventure on their own. I guess everyday can be an adventure when you 'Expect Miracles'.

Then, when we came back... Paige found an old suitcase in the attic filled with vintage dresses. Gold.
